Jefferson Vann invites Afterlife readers to read more about one of twelve core texts of conditionalism: 1 Timothy 6:15-16
1 Timothy 6:15-16 is one of the twelve core texts of conditionalism that my wife and I covered in our “gift of life” seminar.
Here is the text in context:
13 I charge you before God who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus who made his good confession before Pontius Pilate,
14 to obey this command without fault or failure until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ
15 — whose appearing the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, will reveal at the right time.
16 He alone possesses immortality and lives in unapproachable light, whom no human has ever seen or is able to see. To him be honour and eternal power! Amen.1
This text establishes God’s exclusive immortality and refutes the idea that humans or other beings have immortal souls which cannot die or be destroyed.
We, at Afterlife, invite you to examine this text more closely. Click on the apple symbol below to start your search!
